The HumBay Solution
The HumBay system has been conceived and designed by a team with deep experience in aerospace engineering.
The discomforts of air travel are well known. Anyone who has flown long distances knows the problems of dry cabin air. That discomfort is also well documented - fatigue, dehydration, dry skin, dry mouth and lips, sleeplessness, thirst, aching eyes and mental tension. Numerous peer reviewed scientific studies have documented the long-term harmful health effects of exposure to low humidity suffered by aircraft crews. Humidity levels in aircraft flight decks at cruise altitudes average 1% – 3% and only slightly higher in the passenger cabins – well below the levels necessary for the health of mankind.
Humbay produces humidity that will not wet or contaminate surfaces and is evaporated prior to entering the aircraft cabin. The HumBay system addresses the problem of stale, dry air due to low humidity by producing active humidity vapor. Precision engineering, applied physics and methods analytics support the design so that all core elements function in synergy to minimize power and potable water consumption.
The HumBay system increases cabin humidity to 20-25%. Intelligent and precise humidity control is programmable and regulated by sensors using proprietary intelligent algorithms.
